In 1997, Kellie began her study of dreams with a focus on indigenous cultures and their use of dreams for healing individuals and community. She started using her dreams as a springboard for creating her art.
Today Kellie teaches DreamArt Classes in her community. As an artist and a teacher she uses a blended approach to working with dreams, including art, writing, guided imagery and shamanic practices. She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in education from North Adams State College and has trained with Robert Moss, Sandra Ingerman and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. In 2009, Kellie completed a two year advanced training program in Core Shamanism with Connie Caldes, a shamanic teacher who is recommended by Sandra Ingerman.
Kellie's book, Dream Stories: Recovering the Inner Mystic , co-written with Connie Caldes, was published in 2009. She writes articles for Dream Network Journal and My Story Lives , Walk , and Albany Times Union Holistic Health blogs.
She is an active member of her community as a volunteer in the public school system where she was a teacher. For the past decade she has created art to raise funds for education and the arts and breast cancer awareness in her city. |
